Indian skipper Virat Kohli has a lookalike named Saurabh Gade who has been enjoying his share of fame all thanks to his looks who resembles the most popular cricketer. By profession Saurabh is a junior engineer in JCB.
Saurabh’s life took an unexpected turn and he shot to fame when a candidate from panchayat elections approached and invited him as a chief guest for his election campaign portraying him as Virat Kohli.
“My friend in college used to say that I look like Kohli. One of my friends had taken a photo which was seen by one of the MLAs in Shirur. He called me and asked me to go to the sarpanch rally as he knew the candidate. I sent the MLA’s team pictures but the quality wasn’t up to the mark. So the MLA photoshopped Kohli’s picture,” Saurabh told The Indian Express.
The entire episode changed the life of this 26-year-old, who had never dreamt that his life would take such a turn. Ever since, Saurabh has been busy attending political rallies. Gaining popularity day by day, Saurabh Gade has bagged an advertisement and is a brand ambassador of a bakery in Pune. Recently, the young junior engineer was seen doing a photoshoot for a clothing brand.
Saurabh has never met the Indian skipper but came very close to meeting him during India-West Indies match in Pune Last year. The fans who never had the opportunity of meeting the Indian captain were seen taking selfies with his lookalike.
