Former Australia skipper Michael Clarke has confirmed divorce with wife Kyly. The couple had been married for seven years and have a four-year-old daughter named Kelsey Lee. Michael and Kyly got married in May 2012, however they had been living separately for some time.
“After living apart for some time, we have made the difficult decision to separate as a couple, amicably,” the couple confirmed through a statement to The Australia.
Adding further, they said, “With the greatest of respect for each other, we’ve come to the mutual conclusion that this is best course for us to take while we are committed to co-parenting of our daughter.”
According to reports, the couple had been living separately for over five months. Clarke relocated to their Bondi beachfront pad while Kyly continued to live at their Vaucluse property with their daughter. It is also reported that the divorce is worth approximately USD 40 million.
The former Australian captain who led his team to triumph World Cup campaign in 2015 also confirmed that he would be joining the Big Sports Breakfast show along with former rugby player Laurie Daley.
