All the teams are working very hard for the long awaited Indian Premier League 2020 scheduled to begin on 19 September in UAE. Mahendra Singh Dhoni captain of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will once again lead the team for the fourth title and will return to the field after over a year’s gap since India’s untimely exit in the ICC Men’s World Cup 2019.
CSK doesn’t wish to leave any stone unturned in order to win the prestigious tournament and has decided to reach UAE ahead of the other teams. The reason behind their early arrival is to get acclimatized to the weather condition of the host nation. According to reports, CSK is scheduled to reach UAE in the second week of August while the other teams will be reaching a week later.
The CSK team management believes that the players have been out of action for a long duration due to coronavirus and will require all the extra time and help needed to make adequate preparations for the tournament.
The match schedule has not been announced yet, but it is expected that last edition’s runner up, CSK may lock horns with the last champions, Mumbai Indians.
This will be the second time UAE has been decided as the venue for hosting IPL. In 2014, half the matches of the seventh edition were played here making it a familiar ground and conditions for the players.
