Team India remained out of action for nearly eight months during 2020 due to coronavirus but 2021 is expected to keep the team busy all year.
Virat Kohli’s men in blue played their last game in March before the lockdown was announced. The 13th edition of Indian Premier League opened doors for many Indian players to once again pick up where they left off.

The Indian team begins formal international cricket with tour of Australia where the two teams are scheduled to play three-match ODI and T20I series and four Test matches.

According to reports, 2021 is going to be a busy year for the player as it is suggested that India will play 14 Tests, 16 ODIs and 23 T20Is in the coming year. In addition to this schedule, the team will also participate in the Asia Cup in June and ICC T20 World Cup in October. And, along with this players will also be playing for their respective teams in the 14th edition of IPL.

“We understand it will be tough on the players but we are obligated to honour FTP commitments. We have a bigger pool of talent players. We’ll make sure players get ample rest before getting called in for India duties. Rotation policy will surely come into play,” stated a BCCI official.
