Siraj’s father had played an important role in his life and supported him to achieve what he is today. After the death of Siraj’s father, the BCCI has expressed sympathy with the fast bowler and offered him to return to India from Australia but Siraj has decided to stay with the team.

Siraj’s father used to drive an auto and despite of limited resources he left no stone unturned to help his son achieve his ambition. Siraj said, “It is shocking. I lost the biggest support of my life. It was his dream to see me play for the country and I am glad that way I could realise that & bring joy for him”.

Royal Challengers Bangalore also condoled the demise his Siraj’s father and tweeted, “Our heartfelt prayers and condolences go out to Mohammed Siraj & his family, on the loss of his father. The entire RCB family is with you during this difficult time. Stay strong, Miyan,” Siraj’s IPL team Royal Challengers Bangalore tweeted.
