India’s favourite batsman Sachin Tendulkar holds the title of scoring the highest number of centuries in ODI format with a total of 49 centuries in his name. India captain Virat Kohli comes second in place with 43 ODI centuries. However, many times it has been discussed who has scored the highest number of centuries but today we’ll talk about individual matches in which highest number of centuries have been recorded.

10 November 1998, Pakistan vs Australia

On 10 November 1998, the final match of the three-match ODI series between Pakistan and Australia in Lahore had been one such match in which four centuries were recorded. Ijaz Ahmed and Mohammad Yusuf scored brilliant centuries and in response to the target from Pakistan, Australian batsmen Ricky Ponting and Adam Gilchrist also scored centuries registering four centuries in a single match.

30 October 2013, India vs Australia

On 30 October 2013, the sixth match of the seven-match ODI series was played between India and Australia in Nagpur. With George Bailey and Shane Watson contributing their respective centuries to a 350-run target. In response, Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan smashed centuries giving India a brilliant win over the Aussies with Virat Kohli earning the title of ‘Man of the Match’.
