The third Test of the four-match Test series between India and Australia ended today with a draw. Indian team showed its dominance with the brilliant display of skills and will-power. And, there is one player who stood out in terms of dedication and will-power who despite being injured batted for three hours battering 6 Australian bowlers.
Hanuma Vihari, the player in discussion washed away all hopes of the Australian team for the second win of the four-match Test series. Hanuma and Ashwin played brilliantly while Hanuma had been suffering from a hamstring injury but with his pure dedication, he stood on the field after taking the help of a physio and did not leave the field. With a lot at stake, everyone’s hopes were set on Hanuma who scored 23 in 161 balls.
Chesteshwar Pujara’s wicket fell for 272 runs after which Hanuma Vihari along with Ashwin took the numbers to 334 runs without further loss of wicket. Hanuma stayed on the field until the last ball was thrown on the fifth day. However, now he will not be able to play the fourth match due to injury.
Hanuma Vihari defeated Australia’s 6 bowlers Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, Pat Cummins, Nathan Lyon, Cameron Green and Marnus Labushane. Despite being injured, he did not let his wicket fall and batted till the end.
