This record is in the name of Lasith Malinga, who plays IPL for Mumbai Indians. Lasith Malinga has taken 170 wickets in 122 matches.

Best bowling performance in a match

The record for the best bowling performance in an IPL match is in the named of Alzarri Joseph, who took six wickets for 12 runs in 3.4 overs in the match against Hyderabad last year. This record may remain for many years to come.

Best average

Kagiso Rabada holds the record for best bowling average in IPL. He has taken 31 wickets in 18 matches at an average of 17.93.

Most five wickets in a single innings

The most frequently taken 5 wickets in an innings has been done by James Faulkner. He has achieved the feat twice in IPL. Jaydev Unadkat has also taken 5 wickets in a single innings twice.

Highest wickets in a season

The record of most wickets in an IPL season is registered in the name of Dwayne Bravo, who took 32 wickets in 18 matches in the 2013 IPL.
