Former India batsman Suresh Raina had to returned to India before the IPL 2020 could kick off in the UAE. The reason of his return shocked the world as his relatives were brutally murdered in Punjab. Raina’s uncle Ashok Kumar and his son Kaushal were attacked in Pathankot’s Tharyal village on the night of August 19. Ashok Kumar, a contractor by profession, died on the spot, while Kaushal succumed to his injuries on August 31.
Now, in a joint operation by Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) and Punjab Police, Additional Superintendent of Police Satyasen Yadav said that Chhajju Alias Chhaimar, a fourth person and an accused in the murder case has been arrested from his village Pachpedha in Baheri police station area of Bareilly district.
The accused arrested, Chhajju told police that he escaped to Hyderabad after the incident and stayed there for some time before returning to his village in Bareilly.
