On 23 July, the Indian team has to play the third and final match of the ODI series against Sri Lanka. India has already sealed the series with two consecutive wins and would be looking for a clean sweep with the third victory. There may be some changes in the playing XI of the Indian team in the third ODI. But former Indian cricketer and current commentator Aakash Chopra believes that Dhawan should not make any changes in the team.
On his YouTube channel, Aakash Chopra said – Not even one, I am not expecting a change in the team again. You have to let Kuldeep Yadav play as you will not give him a chance in T20. You should also let Yuzvendra Chahal and Deepak Chahar play in all the matches. There is no need to even touch them. Bhuvneshwar Kumar is the vice-captain and has recently returned from injury. Hardik Pandya has not been able to do anything special, so you should let him play too. Kunal Pandya has done well in both the matches so he should also play. Pandey ji’s performance has also been good in both the matches.
Aakash Chopra continued further and said – Ishan Kishan (59 off 42 balls) had scored well in the first innings. Runs came off Prithvi Shaw’s (43 off 24 balls) bat as well in first ODI. Suryakumar Yadav scored runs in both the matches and Shikhar Dhawan is the captain. There is no chance of change in the team.
