After India’s big win, Virat Kohli gives a big statement – I will open in IPL 2021 also

Indian skipper Virat Kohli opened alongside Rohit Sharma in the fifth and final match against England on Saturday evening and went on to scoring a brilliant half-century that helped India clinch the five-match T20 series. The 32-year-old played an unbeaten 80 runs innings after which India defeated the guest by 36 runs.

Happy with the performance he and rest of the team put together, Virat Kohli said, “It was a complete game. Despite Rishabh and Iyer not getting a chance we managed to put on 225. It’s a testimony to our batting depth. Rohit and me were both positive in our intent. We knew we could trust each other and one of us can play second fiddle if one takes off,”

“Today, it was classic Rohit Sharma. And then Surya coming in at three and taking the game even further away from England. Then Hardik coming in and finishing it.”

After the brilliant win, Virat gave a big statement highlighting his intentions to open for RCB in IPL 2021. “I am going to open in the IPL as well. I have batted in different positions in the past,

“But I feel we have a solid middle order now. I would like to partner Rohit through to the 2021 World Cup. It’s about two best batsmen batting most balls. If anyone of us can stay one, we can cause a lot of damage.” he added.
