Dropping a catch is an unavoidable element of the game, and almost all cricketers have done it at some point in their careers. Arshdeep Singh should not be targeted.

The young Indian player was unable to hold on to a catch by Asif Ali, who scored 16 runs and helped to Pakistan's five-wicket victory in the second match of the Asia Cup 2022 Super 4 stage.

Fans on social media criticised Arshdeep, with many labelling him a Khalistani, a word for anti-Indians and traitors who advocate for a separate nation for Sikhs.

Previously, Mohammed Shami was labelled a terrorist following his mediocre bowling performance against the Men in Green in the most recent ICC T20 World Cup.

Arshdeep, whose Wikipedia page was also hijacked, has received support from Virat Kohli, Gautam Gambhir, Wasim Akram, and other prominent figures.
