India medium-pacer Avesh Khan was criticised for taking a total of 78 wickets in the two games before this one. However, after getting the first two wickets, he took a match-high 2-17. He caught Brandon King and bowled him, and he got Devon Thomas to make a mistake.
“Feel really good, since I didn’t do well in the last two matches,” Khan said. “I bowled hard lengths. I just talked to my coaches and captain. They said, ‘We are backing you.’”
In the fifth over, Pooran went after Patel and scored 4-6-0-6-6 before running himself out.
Kyler Mayers and Powell were caught on the boundary by Patel. At the end of the ninth over, West Indies had only scored 82 runs. The required run rate slowly went up to 10 and stayed there.
Arshdeep Singh dropped Jason Holder on 3 off of Ravi Bishnoi's leg-spin bowling, and then he was out on 13. Singh took 3-12 from 19 balls, but the game was already over.
Bishnoi earned the wickets of Akeal Hosein and Shimron Hetmyer in his last over to take 2-27.
The fifth and last T20 is on Sunday on the same ground.
