As Team India is on the tour of Zimbabwe for a three-match ODI series. Harare is facing a water crisis. The city will have no water for over three days in some parts of the capital city.
India faced a similar situation during its tour to South Africa in 2018. “The water situation in Harare is not good, and the players know about it. They have been asked to save water at any cost and take a quick bath. Also, pool sessions have been cut down to save water,” a BCCI official told InsideSport.
The water production plant at Morton Jaffray supplies water to over 20 lakh people is running short of water treatment chemicals.
“We are using as little water as possible. You can also see that the pitch is also very dry.We can manage,” one of the players told InsideSport from Harare.
