Yesterday was the concluding ceremony of the Commonwealth Games 2022. India won a total of 61 medals, including 22 Gold.
Praises poured in for India’s badminton star PV Sindhu who won her first singles gold and bagged her 5th Commonwealth Medal. The gold was extra special as it was India’s 200th gold medal in the Commonwealth Games.
Unlike other celebrities, David Warner went further and dedicated a special post to her on Instagram.
Interestingly, David’s wife Candice took note of the post and reacted.
He wrote, “Well done @pvsindhu1 amazing achievement, complete.”
Meanwhile, Warner’s wife Candice also extended her wishes to Sindhu and wrote, “So good” on the post.
Fans hailed and cited his gesture as the reason why India loves him.
PV Sindhu defeated Canada’s Michelle Li in straight games (21-15, 21-13). She also won silver in the mixed team category.
