He wants to be world’s all-rounder – Yashasvi Jaiswal!!

The 20-year-old Yashasvi Jaiswal, is retained by Rajasthan Royals, has expressed his desire to be the world’s best all-rounder.

Jaiswal also bowls leg-spin, which is yet to be used by the franchise.

In this IPL, he scored 258 runs in 10 innings. However, he only bowled once, in the final over against RCB. On his first and only ball, Jaiswal was hit for a six.

In terms of his domestic career, he has gotten off to a flying start with the bat. In three matches for Mumbai, he scored 439 runs, including three hundreds.

In terms of bowling, he has seven first-class wickets under his belt but has yet to pick up a T20 wicket. During his time with the Rajasthan Royals, he revealed that he received bowling advice from Yuzvendra Chahal.

He claimed Chahal told him he had the potential to be a good all-rounder.

“I talked to him and took bowling tips. He told me that I can be a good all-rounder. I told him that I want to be the world’s best all-rounder. I want to be the best in both departments – bowling and batting,”

Jaiswal signed off by heaping praise on Chahal and said, “He is a mystery man (laughs). He is also a legend in his department. He has several variations. He plays chess very well.”
