The 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League is nearing its conclusion, with newcomers Gujarat Titans and inaugural champions Rajasthan Royals battling it out for the coveted silverware at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Sunday.
Rajasthan Royals have shared a hilarious video of their leading wicket-keeper Yuzvendra Chahal, who can't stop bragging about himself, on social media ahead of the much-anticipated clash.
Chahal says in the video that if he had been an opener like Jos Buttler, he would have scored 1600 runs.
He also claimed to be able to bowl 'raw pace' off-spin. According to him, the batter may regard Chahal as a slow and'small guy,' but Chahal will easily come up with a 165 kmph delivery and send the batter packing.
Yuzvendra Chahal has taken 26 wickets so far in the tournament and is now a strong contender for the Purple Cap on Sunday. Wanindu Hasaranga of RCB is currently leading the Purple Cap standings.
In the cash-rich league, Rajasthan have maintained an age-old tradition. Since the introduction of the Play-Offs in 2011, the team that finished second on the points table in the league phase has always advanced to the finals. Rajasthan finished second in the league standings this season, with 18 points from 14 games.
It's worth noting that since 2011, only seven teams have finished second and gone on to win the championship.
