Ramiz Raja, the head of Pakistan Cricket, said that Jay Shah's comments about the 2023 Asia Cup were a provocation from the BCCI.
He has said that he will not play in the 2023 World Cup or the Asia Cup if Pakistan loses the right to host the Continental Cup.
Now, Ramiz has turned the tables on BCCI by giving an amazing answer to the ICC question.
Ramiz said that BCCI was to blame for the mess when he talked about it on BBC's Test Match Special.
“What happens if the government of Pakistan doesn’t allow Pakistan to travel to India because of security issues?” Ramiz responded on the matter. “We were forced to take a hard stand. Cricket needs India vs Pakistan,” he added.
Ramiz wants India to keep the political issues aside and travel to Pakistan for the Asia Cup.
“Iran and US have many issues, but they still played in the FIFA World Cup 2022. When the FIFA president was asked about the possible reason behind the two countries playing against each other despite problems, he picked up the football and said this could solve many issues. Through sports, we can take care of these concerns. Let bat and ball talk.”
