India is experimenting against West Indies in T20Is. Suryakumar Yadav has struggled as the team's opener.
Rohit Sharma's move angered former India player Krishnamachari Srikkanth. Both games, SKY scored 24 and 11.
Speaking to Fan Code, Srikkanth warned Rohit over his use of SKY as the opener in the series.
“Suryakumar Yadav is a brilliant player at No.4. He shouldn’t open the innings. Instead, drop Shreyas Iyer to include Ishan Kishan and play him as an opener. Don’t spoil Suryakumar Yadav. Please don’t do that. After a couple of failures, he will lose his confidence,” he said.
Earlier, during the series opener, former India cricketer Mohammad Kaif didn’t like the move of going ahead with Suryakumar as one of the openers.
