The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president, Sourav Ganguly, said that Jasprit Bumrah still has a chance to represent India in the ICC T20 World Cup 2022.
According to reports, Bumrah has stress back fracture and will be out of action for 5-6 months.
Mohammed Siraj replaced him for the remaining matches of the T20I series against South Africa. Jasprit is currently at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru.
“Bumrah is not out of the World Cup yet,” Ganguly was quoted as saying to Xtra Time digital channel.
Ganguly unveiled that a final decision could be taken in two or three days. Bumrah missed the Asia Cup 2022 due to an unfortunate injury and was recalled for the Australia series.
