Kolkata Knight Riders Believe that Bengal players can do well in IPL – Wriddhiman Saha!!

Wriddhiman Saha was one of Gujarat Titans' best players in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. After failing to make the starting XI for the first five games, the right-handed batter was named in place of Matthew Wade, who did not score any runs during the tournament.

He has played for a number of teams, including his hometown team, the Kolkata Knight Riders. Since the league's inception in 2008, the two-time champions haven't given many chances to local players.

In his recent interview with Sportskeeda, Saha was asked about KKR not backing players from the state. “You need to see if KKR’s scouts and management have enough faith in Bengal players. Maybe they don’t believe that Bengal players can do well.”

For the champions, Saha scored over 300 runs, including three fifties. Meanwhile, after one of the CAB officials questioned his integrity, he has refused to play for the state Ranji team.
