Former India batsman Sunil Gavaskar believes Shikhar Dhawan's T20I career is over. The legendary cricketer claimed that if the left-hander had been in the picture, he would have been called up to the national team.
"I don't think he'll play in T20Is. The selectors would have chosen him for the Ireland series if he had been in the picture. Almost all of the senior players are based in the United Kingdom. His career is over because he was not even considered for matches in Ireland "On Star Sports, Sunil Gavaskar said.
Despite scoring over 450 runs in every edition of the Indian Premier League for the past seven years, the senior pro has failed to impress the national selectors.
Two T20Is will be played between India and Ireland, and two T20Is will be played between England and India.
