England registered a big victory by 8 wickets in the sixth T20 match (PAK vs ENG). Post-match commentary Pakistan captain Babar Azam revealed the reason for the defeat and defended the score of 169 runs, saying, “After losing 2 wickets in the beginning, I think 169 runs was a good score. Our team probably scored 10 runs less. The way Salt batted in the powerplay was the turning point. We have to focus on the middle order. They have to take responsibility. Even as openers, we will have to partner, so that there is no pressure on the middle order”.
Babar said I got support from the team and it is clear what kind of game they want from me. But thanks to the stormy innings of 88 runs from England opener Phil Salt, the visiting team achieved the target with 33 balls to spare.
Salt scored an unbeaten 88 off 41 balls and was adjudged the player of the match for his brilliant innings. He hit 13 fours and 3 sixes. The decider of the series will be played on October 2 at the Gaddafi Stadium in Pakistan.
