The 33-year-old right-hander batsman Virat Kohli works hard on his fielding and is rated as one of the best fielders, but there was a time when he was not good in the slip cordon.
This was revealed by former India fielding coach R Sridhar, who saw Kohli grow in his fielding skills.
“Virat was not good in the slips initially because he was very energetic, but with time he worked hard on his catching. He is still the same but knows when to remain calm and composed on the field,” he said.
“I never saw him getting tired and took almost 100 catches in a practice session. Once I told him to finish the practice, but he wanted to take more catches. He asked me, Are you tired? I will take this memory of Virat Kohli to my grave,” he added.
