The proposed Afro-Asia Cup, which might feature players from Pakistan and India on the same team, has been discussed extensively. The competition was held twice, in 2005 and 2007.

The return of the Cup could be approved at a meeting of the ACC (Asian Cricket Council) next month, according to Jay Shah, the organization's president.

“It is a big tournament and we are currently working on the legal aspects.”

However, Salman Butt is not in favour of the tournament. He doesn’t want the cricketers from two countries playing together. He said Pakistan should say no to any such tournament as India do not play bilateral matches with the Men in Green.

“We shouldn’t allow our cricketers to play with the Indian players. India do not play bilateral matches with us. They will not say no to it as revenue is involved. Instead of them, we should say no,” he said.

“If India want to play, they should play properly or don’t play at all,” he added
