Rain spoiled the fifth and final T20I of the series in Bengaluru, leaving the series tied at 2-2. As a result, India and South Africa shared the trophy, while the visitors continued their white-ball unbeaten streak in India, which began in 2010.
However, more than the drawn T20I and frustration of missing out on the action of what could have been a fitting series decider at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Sunday, Twitter was left furious over Ruturaj Gaikwad for “mistreating” and “disrespecting” a groundsman at the stadium during the match.

On Sunday, a video of the young India opener denying a selfie to the groundsman went viral on social media. Gaikwad was sitting in the dugout, waiting for the rain to stop when the video was taken. Before the broadcast was cut, the youngster was seen asking the groundsman to keep some space.
