On 5th November, Virat Kohli celebrated his 34th birthday. Fans and cricketing fraternity of all eras took to social media to wish for the former Indian skipper.

A never heard before anecdote revolving around Virat Kohli circulated on the net yesterday, by former India opener Virender Sehwag, who recalled his first impression of Virat Kohli, and it is unmissable.

Sehwag and Kohli both played for Delhi in the domestic circuit, and Sehwag recalled seeing Kohli for the first time while playing for Delhi.

“I first heard Kohli’s name through our assistant coach in Ranji Trophy. Our coach Ajit Chaudhary who had coached the U-16, and U-18 side back then, told me that there is a player Virat Kohli, who will play for India one day. “

“Then, we went to play a T20 tournament for Delhi. Kohli played a shot that went through long-on and long-off, and no fielder could stop it. It was then I knew he was a special player.”
