West Indies fast bowler Obed McCoy helpedhis team dismiss the Men in Blue for 138 in 19.4 overs. It was a 6-wicket haul against India to his sick mother.
McCoy finished with figures of 4-1-17-6 as West Indies won by five wickets to level the series 1-1 with three matches to go.
“I want to thank God. I’m doing this for my mom, who is sick. This motivates me to become a better player. So thankful for it,” McCoy was quoted as saying in the post-match presentation ceremony.
McCoy opened the bowling for the hosts and dismissed all the top Indian batters. “Rohit’s wicket was a huge one for us. I always look for wickets because that can stop batters from going for shots,” he stated.
The third T20I is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, August 2, at the same venue.
