Rohit Sharma's 9-year-old tweet resurfaces, Twitter floods with reactions

Rohit Sharma's 9-year-old tweet resurfaces

Team India's 'Hitman', Rohit Sharma began his tenure as a T20I captain on a winning note against New Zealand on Wednesday. With the T20 series, an old tweet of Rohit Sharma is getting a lot of attention.

Twitter flooded with reactions over the tweet that resurfaced after 9 years where he informed fans about his "added responsibility" of leading Mumbai in a Ranji Trophy match in Jaipur in 2012.

Rohit Sharma's 2012 tweet read - "Touched down in Jaipur and yes I will be leading the side, looking forward to the added responsibilty"

The tweet has gone viral after all these years as Rohit  begins his journey as India's permanent T20I captain after Virat Kohli stepped down from T20I captaincy. Jaipur is the same place he began his stint as the captain of the Mumbai Ranji Trophy team in 2012. That time, he led the side on the KL Saini ground.

A fan retweeted Rohit's tweet from 2012 while explaining, "First time Rohit Sharma ever led Mumbai in Ranji Trophy was in Jaipur (KL Saini ground) in 2012. First time Rohit Sharma will lead India as a full-time T20 captain will be in Jaipur".

Twitter flooded with reactions after realising the hair-raising similarity. Some even called him better than England pacer Archer, who is known for pulling off such feats. While some other people compared him to Nolan as they were left more amazed than his movies.
