Virat Kohli slips down to fifth place in ICC men's T20I player rankings

Team India skipper Virat Kohli has dropped down to the fifth spot despite of hitting a half-century against Pakistan on Sunday's match. KL Rahul too has also slipped to the eighth position in the ICC Men's T20I Player Rankings issued on Wednesday.

Kohli (725 rating points) had hit 57 off 49 balls, while Rahul (684) scored 3 runs in India's total of 151 for 7 which Pakistan chased down with 13 balls to spare for a 10-wicket win in the blockbuster Super 12 match in the mega tournament. 

South Africa batter Aiden Markram and Pakistan opener Mohammad Rizwan have attained their career-best positions in the Player Rankings after their brilliant performances in the ongoing Men's T20 World Cup 2021.

Dawid Malan (ENG) tops the chart with 831 rating followed by Pakistan skipper Babar Azam. Aiden Markram is third on the list while Mohammad Rizan in fourth. Virat Kohli completes the top five with 725 rating.
