
Once again Delhi Capitals pronounced their dominance on the field with a brilliant innings grabbing their sixth win of the tournament. On Sunday evening, Delhi defeated Punjab Kings by 7 wickets with 14 balls remaining undelivered.

The day’s play began with Delhi winning the toss and opting to bowl. Punjab opened with brilliant batting from Mayank Agarwal who fell one run short from smashing a century. Despite, Mayank’s spectacular innings the side failed to withstand DC’s batting attack. After Mayank Agarwal’s 99 runs innings, Dawid Malan with his 26 runs remained the second highest scorer for the side while Chris Gayle was the third highest with 13 runs.

Delhi in their chase to 167-run target found success in 17.4 overs and defeated Punjab by 7 wickets. Shikhar Dhawan with his 69-run knock was the highest scorer for the side while Prithvi Shaw smashed 39 followed by Steve Smith with his 24 runs.
After six successful wins Delhi Capitals has once again found itself on the top position of the Points Table with 12 points. In the meanwhile, Punjab has now slide down to the sixth place with 6 points. Both the sides have so far played 8 matches till now.
