After a devastating season last year, the Chennai Super Kings has made a marvellous comeback this season despite suffering a loss in their opening match against Delhi Capitals. Dhoni led CSK has won four consecutive matches and now sits at the top of the Points Table with 8 points after defeating RCB by 69 runs in their last encounter on Sunday.
On Sunday, CSK placed a 191 run total for RCB to chase. A total that is accredited to Ravindra Jadeja’s brilliant 28-ball 62. Jadeja scored an astonishing 37 runs from the last over taking RCB by a total surprise.
When Ravindra Jadeja was asked if there had been a better day in cricket, he simply said – No, I don’t think so. I enjoyed it very much. It matters a lot when you contribute to the team’s victory. I have worked hard on my fitness and skills and it is a matter of luck, whose results have been seen.
While speaking of workload management he further said – Things are very difficult for an all-rounder. I never practice batting, bowling and fielding in a single day. I spend one day to work on fitness, one day on skills and in this way I manage my workload.
Jadeja said- In the last over, I was thinking of hitting big shots. Mahi Bhai told me that Harshal would throw your balls outside the off-stump and I was ready for that. Luckily, the ball connected well with the bat and we managed to reach 191 runs. That was a big over for us.
