IND vs SL: Troubles for Team India increase as two more Indian players test positive Covid-19 after Krunal Pandya

On Thursday, the last match of the T20 series was played between Sri Lanka and India, which the Indian team lost. Sri Lanka defeated the India by 2-1 in the T20 series. However, the chapter of bad news doesn’t end there, as days after Indian cricketer Krunal Pandya tested positive for COVID-19 on the tour, two more Indian cricketers Yuzvendra Chahal and Krishnappa Gowtham tested positive in Colombo on Friday. Both the players were already in isolation.

Prithvi Shaw, Hardik Pandya, Suryakumar Yadav, Manish Pandey, Deepak Chahar, and Ishan Kishan were also in contact with Kruanal Pandya but they tested negative and expected to leave for India today.

The Indian team will leave from Sri Lanka today. But the three players will not be able to return to India and remain in isolation in Sri Lanka. Suryakumar Yadav and Prithvi Shaw were selected for the England tour. But, with the three covid cases surfacing in Team India’s camp, Suryakumar and Prithvi will not be leaving for England to join the senior team and different players will be sent instead.
