IPL 2021: DC slides down to 4th place after 3-wicket defeat to RR

The Delhi Capitals see a sharp fall on the Points Table after a 3-wicket defeat to Rajasthan Royals who climbed to the fifth place with 2 points. Despite of facing a collapse with the top batting line-up, Rajasthan picked up with David Miller taking the lead and rescuing the game with fruitful results.


The day started with Rajasthan winning the toss and opting to bowl first. Delhi lost three early wickets but with the help of skipper Rishabh Pant (51) the side assembled a 147 total at the loss of 8 wickets. It was a failure on the batting front that cost Delhi the match. Pant was the highest scorer for the side with a half century while Tom Curran remained the second highest with his 21-run contribution.

An off day for DC that cost them dearly. While a day of celebration for the Royals as they grab their first win of the tournament. Despite of losing four wickets too early in to the innings, the team picked up with David Miller who scored 62 off 43 balls, Chris Morris gave a decent finish to the game with his spectacular 36* off 18 balls that saved the day. Chris Morris and Jaydev Unadkat (11* off 7) together added a match-winning 46 runs for the 8th wicket to help Rajasthan Royals beat Delhi Capitals
