IPL 2021: RCB beats SRH by 6 runs

A brilliant game once again witnessed by MA Chidambaram Stadium as Virat Kohli led Royal Challengers Bangalore defeat SunRisers Hyderabad by 6 runs in the 6th match of the IPL 2021. With two successful games, Bangalore now leads the Points Table with 4 points while Delhi Capitals is in the second position with 2 points followed by last season’s champions Mumbai Indians with 2 points.

The match began with Hyderabad winning the toss and opting to bowl first. RCB’s trump player Glenn Maxwell did the trick and became the highest scorer for the side with 41-ball 59. Skipper Virat Kohli was the second highest scorer with his 33-run contribution. However, it had been a brilliant effort of the bowling department who restricted SRH to achieve big numbers and ensured frequent dismissals.

SunRisers on the other hands, lost Wridhiman Saha too early in to the innings but the situation was bought under control by the dual efforts of David Warner (54) and Manish Pandey (38). However, the efforts of the two went in vain as the remaining batting lineup failed to withstand RCB’s bowling attack.

RCB scored 149 runs at the loss of 8 wickets while SRH succumbed at 143/9 losing the match by 6 runs. With two matches played and two lost, SRH is in the 7th place of the Points Table with 0 points.
