India skipper Virat Kohli once again topped the International Cricket Council (ICC) rankings for Test format becoming the No. 1 Test batsman for the second time in a row.

Three Indian players have made it to the top ten of the list. Virat Kohli with 928 points finished first while Australia’s most successful batsman Steve Smith with 911 points stood second. Smith had scored a remarkable 774-run in Ashes 2019 giving him an average of 110.57, however the Test series against Pakistan and New Zealand weren’t so fruitful. After a year long ban from cricket Steve Smith made a huge comeback to find himself in the second spot. Ashes 2019 had earned Smith No.1 position but last month’s successful Test series against Bangladesh help Kohli regain his top position.

Kane Williamson finished 3rd on the list while Australia’s Marnus Labuschagne achieved his career best that landed him at No. 4. India’s Cheteshwar Pujara is in the 5th place while Ajinkya Rahane finished at No. 7.
