With great efforts and dedication, Team India reached the Semi-Finals with flying colours. Virat Kohli in the lead, the team has so far sailed through the mega tournament with ease, standing first in the group stage games.
However, former Indian cricketer and politician Gautam Gambhir gave a big statement on skipper Virat Kohli saying, he prefers Kohli as a batsman but not as the captain of the Indian team.
This is not the first time Gambhir has criticized the skipper for his leadership skills. Earlier, he had said that Kolhi is lucky to be leading Royal Challengers Banglore.
Once again Gambhir has come hard on Virat Kohli stating that without Rohit Sharma and MS Dhoni on the team, Kohli is a poor captain. It is the presence of the two figures that have made things easier for Kohli. Gambhir doesn’t see Kohli as a tactful captain who can lead the team is every circumstances, it is pure luck and presence Rohit and Dhoni who help him sail through.
Gambhir further added that Kohli should go in with more bowling options. Ravindra Jadeja in Dinesh Karthik’s place would work well as it would give more bowling options.
