After the humiliating defeat in the Semi-Finals of the prestigious tournament, questions are being raised over the team’s performance. Once the team returns from England, Committee of Administrators (CoA) will review Team India’s overall performance and the future prospects.

Team India suffered an 18-run defeat against New Zealand in the Semi-Finals where the Men in Blue saw a big dip in their performance. The top three batsmen were dismissed with single run whereas middle and lower order batsmen too faced a downfall.

The CoA members headed by Chairman Vinod Rai, Diana Edulji and Lt Gen (Retired) Ravi Thodge will have a meeting with the Chairman of Selectors MSK Prasad to come up with a roadmap for next year’s T20 World Cup.

The main focus will be to overcome the short comings and strategies adapted by the team management in the Semi-Finals that failed. The next issue on line may well be of Ambati Rayudu who was named a reserve for the World Cup but wasn’t called in despite of two injuries. Third issue on the table most likely to be is the presence of three wicket-keepers. And last but not the least is the order MS Dhoni batted in during the Semi-Final.

The team will be returning to India on Sunday. However, the time and date has not been decided for the meet but it has been stated that it will be held shortly after the teams return.
