
Former Indian fast bowler Venkatesh Prasad is among many who have applied for the post of Bowling coach for the Indian team.
In his cricketing career, Prasad has played 161 One-Day Internationals, 33 Tests. During 2007 to 2009, Venkatesh served as the Bowling coach for the Indian team. He also served as a Bowling coach for Chennai Super Kings for four years and Royal Challengers Banglore for two years.
Apart from this, he was a Junior National Chief Selector for three years, however he resigned last year. In 2018 edition, he also coached the bowling side of Kings XI Punjab.
The interviews for the posts of coaching staff are expected to start from 13 August. According to the new constitution, the interviews of the support staff will be conducted by the National Selection Committee headed by Chief Selector MSK Prasad. Although, it is yet to be confirmed if Selection Panel or CAC will interview the candidates for the support staff positions.
