Kumar had been bowling his third over and after delivering his fourth ball, the pacer felt discomfort in his left hamstring and headed back to the pavilion. Ravindra Jadeja was sent as a replacement for Bhuvaneshwar as India continued to defend their 337 run target.

Vijay Shankar replaced Bhuvaneshwar to complete the fifth over and to everyones delight dismissed Pakistan opener Imam-ul-Haq in his first ball.

Bhuvaneshwar Kumar’s injury is a huge cause of worry for the Men in Blue as losing key players to injuries may affect the rhythm of the series.

It is expected that the Kumar may miss out on next 2-3 matches for the team which is a huge blow for India as he showcased excellent form before the injury.
