It’s time for cheers once again as Indian bowling machine Jasprit Bumrah overtakes the title of highest number of maidens from Jofra Archer in the ICC World Cup 2019. In the Semi-Finals against New Zealand on Tuesday, Bumrah began his business with a maiden, being his ninth of the tournament.
Against New Zealand in the Semi-Finals, Bumrah has so far been the most economical bowler giving away only 25 runs in 8 overs bowled till now while dismissing Martin Guptill for 1 run, crippling New Zealand right in the beginning of their innings.
The remarkable bowler has performed brilliantly in this edition of the World Cup doing justice to his No. 1 ranking reputation. So far he has dismissed 18 wickets in the tournament.
Although, it’s not the number of wickets that he’s respected for but the low economic rate he bowls at. While looking at the bowlers who have bowled over 40 over in the mega tournament, Bumrah has the lowest economy rate of 4.33.
Bumrah’s bowling attack has worked like a trump card for the Indian team as he has been able to perform marvelously throughout the tournament.
