Team India is one of the favourite teams in the world of cricket. Having remarkable batsmen lined-up and world’s leading bowler’s too come from the same team. However, when it comes to consistency, India cannot be relied upon. The Indian team fails to perform consistently which was once again proved on Saturday’s warm-up game against New Zealand. Indian lost the game by six wickets which seemed to be a walk in the park when New Zealand achieved their target in 37.1 overs.

Trent Boult in yet another spectacular bowling performance single handedly took on the Indian batsmen. Within six overs into their innings, Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan and KL Rahul were sent back to pavilion. Boult made the best use of the pitch conditions in his favour. Indian team was left tottering at 91 for 7 and again found themselves short of contingency plan after losing early and frequent wickets, before Ravindra Jadeja saved their day with 54 off 50 which helped them to 179 in 39.2 overs.

India opted to bat after winning the toss and put up a score of 179/10 in 39.2 overs. The top scorers were Ravindra Jadeja with 54 and Hardik Pandya scored 30. On the other hand New Zealand chased their target in 37.1 overs with Ross Taylor scoring 71 and Kane Williamson made 67.
