Despite of it being just a warm-up match, but still a very disappointing start, giving a preview of what lies ahead. Saturday was like a wake-up call for the Indian team which indicated that there is still more work to be done.

For the Indian side, Ravindra Jadeja was the only player who showcased a decent performance with 54 runs off 50 balls, he dismissed one wicket for 27 runs in his 7 overs bowled. On the other hand, KL Rahul and Dinesh Karthik failed on their part. Virat, Dhoni and Hardik’s failed performances cost India the entire match.

Due to injury, Vijay Shankar and Kedar Jadhav missed their first warm-up game and are most likely to miss their second against Bangladesh at Cardiff.
