As the Semi-Finals closes in, Team India gets ready to take on the Kane Williamson led team. The two teams will come face-to-face on 9 July for their race to the finals.
On the eve of the big game, Williamson praised Indian captain Virat Kohli and vice-captain Rohit Sharma in the press conference, he said that he has known Virat Kohli for long. “Kohli always has an adventurous approach to the game, he always had, even in U-19 World Cup. We have come a long way and it’s good to see that Kohli has become such a big player.”
He further praised the Indian vice-captain Rohit Sharma and said, “Rohit has played fantastic cricket throughout the tournament, India’s performance in the World Cup has been remarkable.” Rohit Sharma has scored 647 runs in this edition of World Cup which includes five centuries.
Mentioning India’s bowling attack Kane seemed a little worried as he stated that Indian bowlers know their game well, they’re able to adapt to the conditions of the pitch easily. They have the ability to ready the conditions and the pitch and play accordingly.
Further, he praised his bowlers and acknowledged that they have played well and will carry the same spirit to the semi-finals tomorrow.
