Kane Williamson also achieved his 500-run mark in this World Cup becoming the highest run-scorer of New Zealand in the World Cup.

Kane has altogether scored 548 runs in 8 matches with the help of 2 centuries and 2 half-centuries in this edition of the World Cup. Earlier, the record was in Martin Guptill’s name who had scored 547 runs in 2015 World Cup.

The semi-final match between India and New Zealand, is being played in Manchester today, 9 July but due to heavy rainfall the match came to a long halt. It is expected that the cut-off time for a 20 over chase is 11:05 PM IST, where India’s target would be 148.
