
On Team India’s big when they open their campaign in the ICC World Cup 2019 a big surprise awaited the them as Prime Minister Narendra Modi wished the Indian team good luck as they begin their World Cup journey in Southampton.
Earlier today PM Modi took to social media to wish the team good luck where he wrote, “As #TeamIndia begins its #CWC19 journey today, best wishes to the entire Team. May this tournament witness good cricket and celebrate the spirit of sportsmanship.”
India has won the World Cup championship twice, in 1983 and 2011. In 2015, the team reached the semi-finals but failed to go further. However, this year Team India is being considered as a strong contender and may go on to win the title this year.
