As the mega tournament slowly approaches the Semi-Final phase, the competition gets tougher for making the fourth team. Four teams – England, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Sri Lanka are in the big race to make it to the Semi-Finals.

After winning against England, Australia has already booked a seat to the Semi-Finals. New Zealand and India being in the second and third position of the Points Table are almost there too. That means the race to the fourth position gets tougher by the minute. Wednesday’s match between Pakistan and New Zealand will decide Pakistan’s fate whereas a win for New Zealand will land the team directly to the Semi-Finals.

Australia has won six out of seven games in the mega tournament having 12 points in hands. Being in the top spot of the table. The team has to play two more games and they need to ensure to win in order to remain in the top position.

New Zealand is in the second position with 11 points. Having played six matches so far out of which they win five with one cancelled match due to rain. With just one more win they can reach the Semi-Finals.

India is in the third place with 9 points from 5 matches. The team has to play four more games but to their relief, all the four remaining matches are against weaker teams which gives India better possibility of making to the Semi-Finals.

Bangladesh has seven points from seven matches. In order to keep their Semi-Final hopes alive they have to win the remaining two matches at all cost.

Sri Lanka is in the sixth position with six points from 6 matches. Their victory against England has kept their hopes alive for the next phase. They need to win the remaining games to make it to the Semi-Finals, however, it is not going to be an easy task as they have to compete against South Africa, West Indies and India in their upcoming matches.

Pakistan is in the seventh position with five points. They need to win all the remaining games to get to the Semi-Finals.
