Team India has given Rishabh Pant his big moment as he gets to debut in the ICC World Cup 2019 against the host team. The left-handed batsman has replaced Vijay Shankar. Virat Kohli informed that due to Vijay’s injury, a ‘toe niggle’ , lead to him being replaced with Pant.
Although, it can not be denied that Vijay Shankar’s performance has been a matter of concern for the team. He had scored 58 runs in the tournament with an average of 29 in 3 innings. As far as his bowling is concerned, he got an opportunity to bowl against Pakistan, in which he got two wickets.
England and India have made a few changes to the team. Moeen Ali and James Vince will not be playing against India. Liam Plunkett and Jason Roy have been included instead. And Vijay Shankar is replaced by Rishabh Pant in Team India. The changes to the respective teams have received many inputs from the cricket world.
