On Friday Indian all-rounder Vijay Shankar had suffered an injury to his right hand during a practice session. The Indian team heaved a sigh of relief once the scan report revealed no fracture sustained on his right hand.
The Cricketer was hit by ball delivered by Khaleel Ahmed. Shankar had immediately returned to the dressing room and was taken for a scan for further analysis.
BCCI took to tweeter and posted on their handle, “Vijay Shankar was hit on his right forearm during practice on Friday. He underwent scans and no fracture has been detected. BCCI Medical Team is aiding him in his recovery.”
Due to injury, the all-rounder did not take part in the warm-up game and is most likely to miss his next practice game against Bangladesh on Tuesday at Cardiff.
