In London today, all the participating team captain met Queen Elizabeth ahead of the ICC World Cup 2019.
In the picture we see Britain’s Queen Elizabeth with Indian captain Virat Kohli, Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed, South African captain Faf du Plessis, Captain of the England team Eoin Morgan, Australian captain Aaron Finch, captain of Bangladesh team Mashrafe Mortaza, New Zealand captain Kane Williamson, Sri Lankan captain Dimuth Karunaratne, West Indies captain Jason Holder, and captain of the Afganistan team Gulbadin Naib.
Afghanistan captain Gulbadin Naib posted a photograph of himself with all the other team captains traveling together in a bus.
All the captains attended the Annual Royal Garden Party at the Buckingham palace where they met Britain’s Queen Elizabeth and Prince Harry. The captain’s were seen sharing a light moment while meeting the Prince.
The 45 day tournament begins on 30 May. Andrew Flintoff, Paddy McGuinness and Shibani Dandekar will be hosting the opening ceremony of ICC World Cup 2019. The event will witness over 4000 cricket fans gathering at the London Mall which is next to the Buckingham Palace. Millions of viewers will be joining in through social media and other resources from around the globe as the event will be hosted live.
